NESTING w/ Blizzards

Well, no one ever tells you that when you have a baby, they will grow so fast, that you will have to get new clothes for them every few months...even weeks. And then you may have another baby. This amounts to, well...A LOT of clothes. I only have one out of the womb, but I should've bought stock in Rubbermaid! My goodness. This week, I've been working like crazy to rearrange rooms, wash/store/organize clothes, etc.etc.etc.! Between winter coats, blankets, clothes, sox, cloth diapers, and baby gear...this stuff takes up alot of room quickly! It was cute, though. Sam was at my feet while I was organizing, and we tried winter boots on for fun with his jammies. He also found a baby bottle. UH-OH. He was carrying that around in a second! That little stinker. Don't even think about it reverting back to the bottle!

We only have one glider, and I usually sit w/ Sam in his room to read a book and rock him a bit before I put him to bed. But we're going to have another baby here in less than 9 weeks. So where does the glider go? Sam is a light sleeper, so we aren't going to have them share rooms any time soon. I put the glider in my room, and it totally threw off our routine. As he was fussing at night due to many new teeth coming in, we were trying to rock him in our room w/o waking the other person up...that worked well. :) So that glider is back in Sam's room. I guess that it was a stark reminder that Sam still is, in fact, a baby. He'll need to be rocked once in awhile. We're still finding that happy medium between crying it out, sleep training, etc. in the midst of teething, and mommy being giant pregnant and needing her sleep (read: NOT giving up the pacifier yet!)

Anyway, I've probably stated this before, but I'm also snuggling and rocking Sam more and more, because I know my "Sammy & Mommy" time is dwindling. I'll have another baby to care for, and newborns require SO much attention...I'm just praying that I still can have energy and time for my buddy, Sam. Yes, I've shed a few tears over this. Fortunately, Jason is right there...with a chocolate cookie dough Blizzard in hand. Thank you, honey. :) xxxooo
