Anne with an "e"

Today, I felt so miserably ill, I actually asked Jason to stay home from work to take care of Sam. I was up at about 3AM, fighting a cough and sinus pressure and every bone ached. I just went down to the living room and rested, even though I was awake. Sam was up around 6:30 AM. He's sleeping a bit better, but has a heck of a cough. We gave him his antibiotics and a bottle, and he coughed and coughed until he gagged and threw up all of the meds and everything he ate. I think he scared himself because he started crying, so we were trying to clean him up, smiling and dancing, while my face is bright red from a hot pack and my nose is dripping everywhere. Maybe he was crying from the sight of my red face? Anyway, he got settled and ate and slept better throughout the day.

I HAD to get out, after being snowed in for 4 days, so I went to the drive-thru Walgreen's to get my antibiotics for my newly-developed, highly-unwelcomed sinus infection. It was -3 outside. Yes, -3. Wow. Then I was hungry and went to Pepperjax Grill for a steak philly with fries. I don't remember the last time I ate--let alone ordered--fries, but they were delicious! I ordered the philly "fireball style" which means marinated in jalapeno juice and served w/ jalapenos. Yikes! Who needs meds when that can clear up your sinuses in no time?!

I still felt lowsy, so I hid in the man-cave (basement) and watched Anne of Green Gables. My mom got me the DVD series for Christmas, and oh how sweet it is. From Gilbert to Anne with an "e" to Diana getting "accidentally" drunk to Matthew falling in the field (sorry if I'm spoiling it for you...) it's a tearjerker! And we all know how good it feels to cry on top of a sinus infection! But TOTALLY worth it!

So have I showered today? No. Have I eaten well? No. But it actually felt like a day "off" because Jason fed, bathed, sang to, entertained, and snuggled Sam all day so I could REST. I love you, Jason Michael Dunn! Oh you are a blessing! I can't wait till I can feel better to snuggle my boys!!!

Now I believe 30 glorious mL of NyQuil are calling my name....ZZZZZZZZZ..........
